Kodokan Judo Association (S.A.)

President’s Report - 2010 – Presented by D. GORDGE

The time has come again to commence a new year and summarise the one that has been. I will try and provide a brief overview of my duties and the Association’s activities for the last 12 months.

In my role as President over the last 12 months, I have represented the Association at General Managers meetings for SPORTSA, local government and at meetings with the Office of Recreation & Sport. I have been re-elected AKJA National President and represent the views of the Association membership at the National level.

The Tournament Committee have worked hard again this year to successfully conduct each of the tournaments held. Again, only good feedback has been received about the way the tournaments are run. In particular, comments about how we cater for the children in contest and the holding of Masters Aged divisions in our tournaments has been welcomed. Albeit that the divisions are small in participant numbers, we still cater for the aged and “infirmed” by having such groupings.
